The ESL One Berlin Major will begin in May with a prize pool of $500,000.
The ESL One Berlin Major’s prize pool is worth $500,000, and 18 teams compete for it. It also offers vital Dota Pro Circuit points to qualify for The International 12 later this year.
As opposed to the Lima Major that took place in February, more DPC points will be up for grabs. As teams approach The International 12, the third Major will award the most DPC points.
The Berlin Major will feature two groups of nine teams competing in a single best-of-two round-robin. After that, the remaining 12 teams will compete in the playoffs. The remaining six teams will compete in a local area network (LAN) format at the Velodrom.
The Major was revealed with a slick video that included Night Stalker. A stark contrast to the announcement made for the previous ESL Major, ESL One Stockholm, which had a Phoenix theme and was held in May 2022.
ESL One Berlin Major Schedule
The second major tournament of the year for Dota 2 is playing with a night theme.
The Major is slated to take place between April 26 and May 7, 2023. The local area network (LAN) section of the competition will include the top six teams remaining in the competition. They will take place at the Velodrom venue in Berlin from May 5 to May 7 and will last for a total of three days.
